TPMS Repair in Pasadena, CA

Your Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) measures and displays the tire pressure of your vehicle. Each tire has an internal TPMS sensor that measures this pressure. Overtime, these sensors lose their battery supply which will require replacement on the entire unit. A low battery may show a low tire light even if your tires are properly inflated.

Our technicians will be able to scan each sensor and replace if necessary. Replacement of a sensor requires the removal of the tire and reprogramming the new sensor to the vehicle’s computer. Our trained technicians have the proper programming tools to handle this service.

  • How long does a TPMS sensor battery usually last?

Typically, a TPMS sensor lasts 7 to 8 years.  You may experience a flashing or solid “low tire” light if a sensor has failed.

  • Should I replace the TPMS sensors when replacing my tires?

It is only recommended to replace the sensors if they reach their lifespan of 7 to 8 years or if signs of a sensor failure are noticed.  We can scan and test your sensors to see the condition of the battery.

  • Can I just replace 1 TPMS sensor?

If a single sensor is needed because of a low battery, it is recommended to replace all 4 since the others will be low as well.  Typically, sensors will last 7 to 8 years.
